OCALA, Fla. —
Today, the Dennis Baxley Campaign announced that it amassed over $173,000 during April, bringing the total amount raised to $477,144. With nearly $370,000 cash on hand, Baxley’s total far surpasses that of his rivals in the race for Senate District 12. In addition, he has raised more than $215,000 for the political committee Floridians for a Strong Economy.
“We are very grateful for the tremendous support that we are receiving,” said Baxley. “I can’t wait to keep fighting in Tallahassee for our conservative values of freedom, family, and faith, and I look forward to getting that message out to more and more voters across District 12.”
Baxley first served in the Florida House of Representatives from 2000 to 2007, including as Speaker Pro Tem from 2006 to 2007. He was again elected to the Florida House in 2010 and was re-elected without opposition in 2012 and 2014. A highly respected conservative leader, Baxley has been a successful business owner with an extensive record of community service throughout central Florida.
Throughout his legislative career, he has been known as a champion of job creation, protector of water and other natural resources, and defender of our constitutional rights, particularly the Second Amendment. He is an NRA National Defender of Freedom Award winner.
